About this driver

Puts your Rain Bird LNK / LNK2 WiFi irrigation controller on your RTI panels — start and stop any zone, set a manual run time, and set or clear a rain delay, with live feedback on which zone is watering, the current rain-delay days, and rain-sensor state. It talks straight to the LNK WiFi module over your own network on its encrypted interface (AES-256), so there is no Rain Bird cloud account, no third-party bridge, and no internet round-trip in the control path — commands fire locally and keep working if your internet drops. The driver reads the controller on connect and picks up its model, serial, and real zone count automatically, so you only see the zones you actually have. Every zone exposes name and running-state feedback for your panel, and the whole surface is exposed as RTI functions, variables, and events so a zone starting or finishing, or a rain delay being set, can trigger any macro. The connection is held open and reused between requests for fast response, and self-heals on its own after a network blip. Works with the LNK and LNK2 WiFi modules on the ESP-TM2, ESP-Me, ESP-RZXe, ESP-ME3, and LXME2 controllers. One controller per driver instance; add an instance per controller. What you should know before buying

  • Requires the Rain Bird LNK or LNK2 WiFi module installed in the controller and on the same network as the RTI processor. This is the local WiFi-module path, not the Rain Bird cloud.
  • One controller per driver instance. Add an instance per controller; one license covers them all on the processor.

How licensing works

  1. Download the driver (free — button on the right), install it in Integration Designer, and load to your processor. It runs unlocked for a total of 120 minutes of run time for compatibility testing. The clock is cumulative, so it does not reset when the processor reboots.
  2. Buy a license here, then sign in and enter your processor's MAC address on your account page. We issue a signed license key bound to that MAC.
  3. Paste the key into the driver's configuration. The trial wall goes away and the driver runs unlocked indefinitely.
