About this driver

Local LAN driver for every Roku in the house, streamers and Roku TVs. Polls the on-Roku ECP API on port 8060 for live state (current app + icon, playback position, current input, power) and adds the Roku-TV-specific keys the stock community drivers miss: discrete Power On / Off, Volume Up / Down / Mute, Channel Up / Down, and HDMI / Tuner / AV input switching. 32 app slots and 32 channel slots drive tile pages; a live boolean matrix for the top 19 streaming services lights up state-aware tiles with no macro work.

New in 2.2.0

  • A reliability update. Every command, variable and event name is unchanged, so existing projects keep working: update the driver and send the project.
  • Buttons recover on their own after a Roku reboots or drops off the network. A command the Roku never answers no longer leaves later buttons stuck, and a press made while the Roku is unreachable is discarded rather than fired late.
  • One failing status request no longer drops the connection: the driver keeps the rest of the feedback updating and names the problem in Last Error.
  • No false events from slow replies, and Power, App and Playback events fire on real changes only, not every time a project is sent.
  • Refresh State, Refresh Apps and Refresh Icons work again, and state updates about half a second after each command.
  • Typing keeps repeated letters ("google" no longer arrives as "gogle" on a slow Roku), and Power Toggle sends the right key when pressed twice in a row.
  • App N Active stays true for as long as that app is running, and YouTube vs YouTube TV and Max vs Cinemax no longer light each other's variables.
  • Last Error clears itself once the problem is gone, and the driver writes a short status summary to the processor's System Log for support.
  • The debug console is now read-only diagnostics, off by default.
  • A fresh 120-minute trial for this version, even if an earlier version's trial was used.

What's included

  • Discrete Power On/Off, Volume, Channel, and HDMI/Tuner/AV keys

  • 32 app slots and 32 channel slots for tile pages
  • Smart commands: Launch by Name / ID / Deep Link, Send Text, Sequence
  • Auto-bind keyboard page with live KP_BUFFER text feedback
  • Recovers on its own when a Roku reboots or drops off the network
  • Local LAN only: no cloud, no pairing, no Roku account

How licensing works

  1. Download the driver (free — button on the right), install it in Integration Designer, and load to your processor. It runs unlocked for a total of 120 minutes of run time for compatibility testing. The clock is cumulative, so it does not reset when the processor reboots.
  2. Buy a license here, then sign in and enter your processor's MAC address on your account page. We issue a signed license key bound to that MAC.
  3. Paste the key into the driver's configuration. The trial wall goes away and the driver runs unlocked indefinitely.
