About this driver

Two-way RTI control for your entire TP-Link Tapo smart home — 100% local over your LAN (KLAP-encrypted), no cloud round-trip and no Home Assistant box. One instance holds the whole home: smart plugs, energy-monitoring plugs (live power + energy), colour and tunable-white bulbs, light strips, wall switches and dimmers, and the H100 hub with its motion, contact, water-leak, temperature/humidity, and button sensors. A one-click Discover action finds every Wi-Fi device on the LAN and drops each in as its own named source; the H100's RF sensors bind by name (type each sensor's Tapo-app name) and fire per-device events — motion, open/closed, leak, temperature/humidity, button single/double/long press, low battery — so you build automations from real-world activity. Full state feedback on everything, edge-detected events, a self-healing local connection, and low processor load even across a big install. One license per processor.

What's included

  • Controls the whole Tapo line — smart plugs, energy plugs, colour/tunable bulbs, light strips, wall switches and dimmers, plus the H100 hub's sensors
  • 100% local over your LAN (KLAP-encrypted) — no cloud round-trip, no Home Assistant, instant response
  • One-click Discover finds every Wi-Fi device and adds it as a named source; H100 sensors bind by name
  • Events-first sensors: motion, contact open/closed, water leak, temperature/humidity, button single/double/long, low battery — each a per-device event for automations
  • Full state feedback everywhere — power/energy, brightness, colour (hue/saturation), colour temp, sensor states as text and on/off
  • Self-healing local connection and low processor load, tuned to scale across a whole-home install
  • 120-minute MAC-locked free trial — try before you buy; one license per processor

How licensing works

  1. Download the driver (free — button on the right), install it in Integration Designer, and load to your processor. It runs unlocked for 120 minutes per session for compatibility testing.
  2. Buy a license here, then sign in and enter your processor's MAC address on your account page. We issue a signed license key bound to that MAC.
  3. Paste the key into the driver's configuration. The trial wall goes away and the driver runs unlocked indefinitely.
